My First Roll of 120 Film

I was digging through my archives today and came across this image of my good friend and documentary filmmaker Tarek Turkey. It is from back in 2013 when Tarek and I took a trip up to NYC from Baltimore for fall break and I shot my first roll of 120 film. It was a roll of Kodak Portra 400 on my mom's Hasselbald 500c/m (the same model camera that first went to the moon in 1969). Despite it being 3 years since then, it still totally holds up to anything I would make now. Its really rare for me to feel this way about my old work. I guess I just love this image.
